Peaks & Valleys
The Peaks & Valleys project, spearheaded by Marilisa Allegrini and Andrea Lonardi, is dedicated to Verona and its primary wine-growing regions: Valpolicella, Valpantena, Soave, and Lugana. The goal is to valorize not only the wines but also the diverse areas from which they originate, by connecting landscape, soils, climate, altitude, exposure, and indigenous varieties. The project stems from an interpretation of territories that are very different from one another: the limestone hills of Valpolicella, connected to the Lessini Mountains; the Valpantena, a valley historically linked to Verona and characterized by ventilation and stark differences in exposure; the volcanic and limestone hills of Soave, ideal for the cultivation of Garganega; and the Lugana area, influenced by Lake Garda and clay soils of morainic origin. Each vineyard is selected based on the combination of soil, microclimate, altitude, training system, vine age, and varietal identity.
