Our very best Corvina and Rondinella grapes are left to partially dry for 4 months. After fermentation the wine is aged for 5 months in stainless steel vats, for 15 months in wooden barrels (50% large Slavonian oak casks, 50% second-use barriques) and for another 6 months in the bottle.
This wine is dense ruby red in colour and has an intense aroma, dominated by notes of red fruits and aromatic herbs. It is generous, well-structured and harmonious on the palate. This wine is surprisingly complex and elegant with a fresh sweetness.
Perfect with mature soft cheeses and chocolate desserts. It is also ideal with shortbread, sbrisolona (a local crumbly pastry) cantuccini biscuits, strawberries and tropical fruits. Serve at 14°C and open at least one hour before drinking.
70% Corvina Veronese 30% Rondinella
