Brunello di Montalcino Vignavecchia

Vignavecchia, the most prestigious cru of San Polo, is produced from Sangiovese grapes grown in the namesake vineyard of about two hectares, planted in 1992 on a steep hillside with a western exposure. The soil is composed of limestone, clay, and loamy sand, enriched with fossil deposits. In the glass it shows an intense ruby-red color; on the nose it expresses aromas of ripe red fruits, floral notes of violet, and forest floor nuances. On the palate it is persistent, with remarkable verticality, proving itself a wine capable of long aging and bottle refinement.
