Brunello di Montalcino is a red wine of great power and elegance.
The ultimate expression of Sangiovese, Brunello is characterized
in Montalcino by grapes that have slightly brown skins and unique,
intense aromas and flavors. One of the best-known and most
sought-after wines in the world, Brunellos age incredibly well and
have become icons in Italian winemaking. At the Allegrini estate
in Montalcino, San Polo’s Brunello is the result of tremendous
respect for the land and an unwavering commitment for both
quality and sustainability.
Brunello di Montalcino is vinified in concrete tanks with an extended maceration aimed to extract the ‘noble’ components of the skins. Aged for 30 months in small, 500-600 L French oak and 1,000 L Slavonian oak barrels. Following official Brunello production regulations, barrel aging is followed by a minimum of 6 months in bottle before the finished wine is released.

As it is round on the palate, with well-integrated tannins, it will also pair well with any kind of international spiced cuisine. The estate recommends serving at 18° C and opening an hour before serving.
