Brunello di Montalcino Podernovi

Podernovi, one of San Polo’s crus, is made from Sangiovese grapes grown in the namesake vineyard of about three hectares, located at 450 meters above sea level with a southeast exposure. The soil, among the oldest in the area and dating back to the Cretaceous-Eocene period, is rich in clay and minerals, with less stoniness than other plots and a medium-high limestone content. In the glass it shows a ruby-red color; on the nose it offers floral aromas of violet, cyclamen, and jasmine, alongside fresh fruit notes and subtle spicy hints. On the palate it is balanced between structure and acidity.
