Giovanni Allegrini, a true legend of Valpolicella, was a great lover of Recioto. His children Walter, Marilisa and Franco, have dedicated this wine to their father. A great innovator in his field, this was the wine by which Giovanni judged all the winemakers in his day. Recioto is one of the oldest wines in the world, tracing its roots back to Roman times. It is a unique, sweet wine and is ideal for contemplative moments as well as to celebrate life’s greatest occasions. Today, it is recognised as the noble ‘ancestor’ of Amarone.
