Allegrini has its roots in Fumane in the heart of Valpolicella, a land of ancient and noble traditions.
Documented as far back as the 16th century, the Allegrini Family has been dedicated to the production of wine for six generations. The family is at the forefront of the development and promotion of the Valpolicella Classica area, supporting the culture and identity of the region.
The company experienced a profound transformation in the 1960s at the hands of Giovanni Allegrini. Recognised as one of the major players in the rebirth of Valpolicella, Giovanni mastered the art of winemaking, rigorously selecting the grapes and introducing important innovations in viticulture and winemaking.
The company’s legacy was then passed on to his children, Walter, Marilisa and Franco, who have been able to adopt, develop and pass on the work of their father with passion and enthusiasm, making Allegrini and Valpolicella renowned all around the world.
